There has always been a trade off between price & speed for the small business owner. To get anything at a reasonable price, your websites had to be hosted on overseas servers, typically in the United States.

Australian data space & bandwidth by contrast are more expensive but:-

  • are a lot faster at loading pages and active content
  • maintenance outages are normally scheduled outside business hours
  • significantly faster at downloading email attachments
  • no overseas data connector issues

  • Overseas data space & bandwidth are very cheap, but the trade off has been:-

  • significantly slower page loading times (due to high latency / ping rates)
  • inconvenient outages for maintenance, which occur after hours for them, but during working hours for us
  • slower download times for email attachments
  • and being susceptible to any problems which may occur with the main data connector pipes between Australia and the USA.
